- Device information when you sell a device to us (e.g., IMEI, battery status, technical inspection data)

2. Why do we process this data?

- Processing and delivering orders
- Customer service, warranty, and returns handling
- Processing payments securely and correctly
- Processing and inspection when selling a device to Phonesy
- Legally required record-keeping obligations
- Improving our website and services
We do not use your data for unsolicited advertising without your consent.
3. Who do we share data with?
Data is shared with processors, such as, only when necessary for our services:
- Shopify (hosting & webshop software) – IP address, entered data, analytics
- Shopify Payments / PayPal / Apple Pay / iDEAL (payment processing) – name, payment information, order number
- MyParcel / PostNL (shipping labels & parcel delivery) – name, address, email
- Accountant (legally required records) – invoice & transaction data
Shopify – hosting & data storage
Our website runs on Shopify. Shopify complies with the GDPR and may process data in, among other places, the EU, the United States, and Canada. Our data processing agreements ensure that your data is used only for the agreed tasks and is secured.
Reviews – WebwinkelKeur
We collect reviews through the WebwinkelKeur platform. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide your name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this information with us so that we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name on its own website. In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to ask for an explanation of your review. When we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. They use this information solely to invite you to leave a review.
WebwinkelKeur has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. WebwinkelKeur reserves the right to engage third parties for the provision of its services; we have granted permission for this. All safeguards mentioned regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of the services for which WebwinkelKeur engages third parties.

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and unauthorized access to data, including:

- Orders & invoices: 7 years by law
- Contact requests: max. 12 months after resolution
- Purchase device data: max. 7 years (accounting/legal requirements)
After this period, the data will be deleted or anonymized.

You may always:

- have your data corrected
- object to processing
- have your data deleted (to the extent permitted by law)
- request and have your data transferred
You can submit a privacy request via info@phonesy.nl. You will receive a response within 30 days.
7. Cookies

8. Selling your device to Phonesy
When selling your device, we process information such as the IMEI and technical data for:
- valuation
- theft prevention
- iCloud and authenticity checks via software
If fraud or theft is suspected, we may be required to share data with the police or authorities.
9. Complaints
Are you dissatisfied with our privacy policy or the processing of your data? Contact us via info@phonesy.nl. You also always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority: autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
10. Changes to this policy
Phonesy may amend this privacy policy when our services change. The most recent version is always available on our website. We will inform you by email of significant changes.
